Heavenly Tachai

Tachai Island or Koh Tachai is a small Island located between Similan and Surin national park. It's 1 hour away from Khao Lak by Speedboat. We were checking in at Thap lamu pier around 8 a.m and picking up our snorkeling equipment. Our speed boat departed at 9.30 a.m. Luckily, the weather was perfect for a day trip. We were supposed to snorkel in 2 different spots. Unfortunately, when we arrived Tachai Island the tides were too high, so we got to snorkel at one spot only and there'r not many coral reefs, but its still awesome to swim in crystal clear water surrounded by a breathtaking view! 

After an hour of snorkeling we got on the speedboat and headed onto Tachai Island where we enjoyed Thai style buffet for lunch and spent another 2-3 hours strolling along white sand beach, playing on the seashore, and taking pictures! What I love most about this island is the crystal clear water just like a swimming pool with 3 shades of blue. Cool yeah?! It's one of the most beautiful Islands I've ever seen. Honestly, I can watch this amazing scenery of Tachai Island all day without getting bored. Also, the island itself is small, very clean, and peaceful. Absolutely perfect place to escape and chill.

 I would recommended SeaStar tour to anyone visiting Tachai. You can tell that they're a great passionate staff who trying to provide tourists the best possible service and experience. For your information this Island is open for visit seasonal only, so make sure you check information before travel. Bann Makok The Getaway Koh Kood

Yes, I love my city life, but every once in a while it's always a great idea to embrace the slow living and completely forget all your worries and the hectic city life. A couple weeks ago, my sister, my brother, and I spent 3 days 2 nights in "Bann Makok" a wonderful getaway solar powered boutique hotel with 8 rooms in Koh Kood, the furthest island on the east-coast of Thailand. This place is like a Hidden Gem! I wouldn't lie, it's not so easy to get to Koh Kood. We drove 5 hours from Bangkok to the port in Trad, then took an hour speed boat ride to get to Bann Makok in Koh Kood.

From the moment we arrived, I was so captivated by the "Thai Style" vintage wood furnished house that set right on the canal and how its setting goes so well with the beautifully and peacefully relaxed vibes of the natural surroundings. The warm welcome from friendly staffs making me feel like home. Everything here was so much better than I imagined!

You can enjoy almost anything you want at this small cozy eco friendly hotel! Having a day full of outdoor and indoor activities of your choice, snorkeling among little fishes, kayaking to the beach, playing in the sea, walking to the waterfall relaxing in the room, reading your favourite book, or just being lazy drinking coffee, chilling by the balcony and looking at the clear canal water. I truly had a memorable and unique experience at Bann Makok and would definitely recommend Bann Makok to all nature lovers seeking peace and tranquility away from the city. It's definitely worth a visit!
