Wonderfruit Festival 2014

Can't say how much my girls and I had so much fun at the first ever lifestyle Festival "Wonderfruit" in Thailand! Talking about this rare opportunity for Thais to be able to witness and feast upon killer line-up of world class musicians like De la Soul, Jose Gonzalez, Little Dragon, Woodkid and experience curated food & drinks, art installations, design, film & nature, farmer's market & eco-farming, theme camp and other workshops.

What I like: It was The headliners that got so many people excited about Wonderfruit festival. I didn't really expect to see so many cool artists in Thailand at the same time!
Organic food and drinks. we bought some organic food like grilled mushroom with peanuts sauce and the mushroom salad to share. Never thought organic dishes could taste so good.  Also, I just can't get enough of refreshing lemon soda in a wooden bamboo cup. Moreover, there're wide variety of interesting and fun activities such as funny Yoga class at the goddess camp, I've never seen people laughing, rolling, and dancing around while doing yoga. So this was something really funny to see. Workshops where you could create your own festival props, Taste of Wonder where there were multiple fashionable stores offer cool boho clothes and accessories to name a few Sor gor bor warship, Heidi's secret, Rotsaniyom, and more.

What I don't like: Quite disappointed with the venue. Thought it would be a green grasses space as I've seen in the printed ads and commercials. The ground was too sandy. The wind create a large amounts of dust in air and cause air pollution. When we got out of the festival all of our shoes were literally covered by sand and turned white. Sound system was pretty bad. I remember the sounds was really bad when Little Dragon took the stage, but it got better towards the end and one of De La Soul member pissed off while performing because the sounds were either too loud or too quiet. Living stage (main stage) was too small that most people thought it could not be the main stage. Hence, I can't help but compared Wonderfruit with THE BIG CHILL Festival in UK I attended 3 years ago. The venue was so green the stage was so much bigger, the sound system was a lot better.

Anyway, this was the first time that we get to have this lifestyle festival in Thailand and it was quite great already! Next year would definitely be better and I am looking forward to it!
