- Nakabashi Bridge: offers a great view of red bridge, mountain, trees, river, and traditional houses
- Takayama Jinya: a historical government house
- Morning Market: in front of Takayama Jinya
- Sanmachi: A charming old street lined by souvenir shops. A great place to stroll around and experience edo period architectures
- Takayama Museum of History and Art
Getting around in Takayama is very easy. Every attraction can be reached by foot or you can choose to explore takayama on a rickshaw.
